Failed to synchronize cloud saves. So I recently had to reinstall windows. After reinstalling when trying to start up AC Valhalla it comes up with failed to synchronize cloud saves. I have tried going "offline mode" and then back, verifying game files, tried turning off cloud saves making a local save and then turning cloud saves back on but ....

No "Continue", no "Load Saves". I didn't get a "failed to synchronise cloud saves" message from Ubisoft Connect either. Both Connect and Steam have the "save to cloud" setting enabled, but AC Odyssey doesn't have the Cloud Save up to date message on my old computer. Other games do, so it's specifically Odyssey. However, it's never synced my cloud saves from ubisoft connect so I haven't played further. Had a similar issue in the past. It's likely on Ubisoft's end and has nothing to do with GeforceNow. For anyone else having the same problem, I managed to fix this by launching a different Ubisoft game (I launched Far Cry 5 but I assume it would work with any game with Uplay cloud saves).
