Hi everyone! I got admits from both UMass Amherst and Northeastern Boston for MS in CS for Fall 2023 term. Both the schools seem great and I am confused to choose one.Here are some things that I found out for both these - UMass - Is well reputed for traditional CS. Is considered extremely well for ML/ AI/ Data Science.The program ranks 20 in US News 2018 graduate CS schools. Final cost would be 40k per year. UW Madison is undeclared major admit in college of letters and science, where declaring CS doesn't seem difficult at all. It ranks 13 in the same rankings where UMass is 20. Final cost would be 53k USD per year.Data Science involves three main areas of focus: computer science, statistics, and knowledge of the domain under study.
